It could make even the most experienced flyer think twice before buying their next plane ticket.

A video posted on the internet has captured the terrifying moment a jet with almost 200 people on board skidded across a runway after coming in to land.

The hard landing created a cloud of smoke at the point of impact - and even damaged the aircraft's fuselage.

Kyodo News reported that the plane was an All Nippon Airways (ANA) Boeing 767 landing at Narita Airport near Tokyo, Japan.

Some 193 passengers and crew were on the flight, which took off from Beijing in China.

No one was hurt, but an investigation found damage to the fuselage on both sides of the plane.

It was reported that a strong crosswind was blowing near the runway and the pilot 'felt the turbulence during landing'.
